Inside Big Catch Bass Fishing Christmas — Features And Feel

Big Catch Bass Fishing Christmas leans into its name without overcomplicating the reels. Blueprint Gaming keeps a card-symbol base — the same ten-to-ace furniture you'd find on plenty of classic-style pokies — and layers a fishing trip over the top: a bass leaping past baited hooks, tackle boxes and a string of fairy lights along the riverbank. The snow and lights are set dressing built into the game itself, not a nod to whatever the calendar's doing outside your window; Here2Win Casino keeps this one in rotation whether it's July or December.

I like a seasonal pokie that still plays fair outside its own holiday, and this one manages it — the fishing gimmick sits on top of a fairly conventional card-symbol structure, so nothing about the mechanics feels tied to the date on the box.

The base reel set mixes those playing-card symbols with fish-themed icons across a standard grid, built by Blueprint Gaming rather than a Megaways or cluster specialist. Its confirmed RTP sits at 93%, which lands below the roughly 96.02% median across the pokies covered on this site, and closer to the lower end of the full range once you factor in the higher and lower outliers here. That's worth knowing before you set a session budget — a lower RTP means the maths lean a touch further against the player over the long run than most of Here2Win Casino's other confirmed titles.

Two features are confirmed for this pokie: bonus rounds triggered during play, and a bonus buy option that lets you pay to jump straight into one instead of waiting for it to land naturally. Buying in spends a noticeably bigger chunk of your session budget in one go than a standard spin does, so if you're working through a deposit bonus's wagering afterwards, check that bonus's own terms before you buy — there's no guarantee a bonus-buy spend counts toward wagering the same way an ordinary spin would.

If you'd rather pair a similar buy-in shortcut with a running jackpot instead of a fishing trip, the 3 Carts of Gold: Hold and Win pokie layers an in-game jackpot on top of its own bonus rounds and buy-in option.

Medium volatility puts this pokie in the middle of Here2Win Casino's spread — you won't sit through the long dry patches that come with its high-volatility titles, but wins won't land as steadily as they do on the calmest low-volatility spins either. It's a reasonable pace for a session where you want some movement without needing nerves of steel. For the full picture of how volatility and features stack up across every title, the Here2Win Casino games hub lines the whole lineup up side by side.
